Why we exist

Digital banking moved faster than the language used to describe it. Terms like "open banking", "instant settlement" and "card issuing" get used loosely by marketing teams, which makes it hard to know what a provider is actually doing with your money or your data.

Advanzia Bank S.A. was set up to close that gap: a small, editorially independent team writing plain-language explainers, kept up to date as the underlying technology changes. We do not sell banking, payment or e-money services of any kind, and we never will.
